Mini Samurai Program
Front Range Judo’s Mini-Samurai program is an introductory martial arts class for ages 4-6. The class is specifically designed for those crucial years in a child’s development where building coordination, agility and emotional control is vital.
This unique and innovative program will aid in the child’s physical and emotional development while providing a strong foundation for the school years ahead. Basic Judo drills and games will teach motor skills along with important values like self-control, confidence, self-esteem, teamwork and respect.
Kano emphasized that the ultimate goal of Judo is to transform people into more productive members of society. Front Range Judo makes this the main focus of the Junior program (ages 7-13).
Physical, mental and social skills are all developed while learning the basics of Judo. Through building a strong foundation in Judo, students will benefit from increased:
These skills help our Juniors learn respect, etiquette and proper behavior. Competition is encouraged, but not required.
ADULTS AND TEENS PROGRAM
Our teen and adult classes (ages 14 and up) work with people of all skill levels from beginner through advanced. The class provides one of the best workouts in the area while teaching an art and sport.
Judo training builds strength and agility while also enhancing mental fortitude. The workout eliminates the mundaneness of a normal gym routine or exercise machines. Submissions (strangles and armbars) are taught in groundwork alongside basic and advanced standing techniques. Participation in tournaments is encouraged, but not required.
FRJ classes are also an excellent adjunct to other sports such as Brazilian jiujitsu, wrestling, MMA and more. Whether training recreationally or competitively, Judo is a great way to keep the body and mind fit and healthy.
JUNIOR CHAMPIONS PROGRAM
Front Range Judo’s Junior Champions Program has been created to ensure we provide a deep understanding of the competitiveness of the beautiful sport of judo. Besides technique and practice we have discussions on the role of the coach, training outside the dojo, and mental and physical preparedness for competition. Not only geared to competitors!

Private and Small Group Classes
(Group or 1:1) Front Range Judo can also schedule private group classes. During a 90-120 minute class, the basics of Judo (falling, throwing, pinning) are taught while emphasizing the art’s two primary principles – mutual benefit and maximum efficiency. Participants get a creative workout while learning to work with partners during exercises and drills. This class works great for special clinics for Middle and High schools, summer camps, work team-building programs, and much more.
